• The sales force. There’s no doubt that the sales team comes to mind first when thinking about a mobile workforce. The sales team undoubtedly is the first and most seen face to the customer. CRM (customer relationship management) mobile tools are an example of mobile applications.
  • Field service or customer service technicians. Most organizations today supply some sort of customer services for their clients. There are many levels of customer support, varying from a single-person
help desk to a full-fledged customer management call center, all of which can benefit from mobile applications.
  • Executive and upper-level management. CXO-level employees, vice president’s, directors, and so on, all make business decisions based on accurate information and data. Sometimes that means reviewing company financials, whereas other times it’s forecast data required for board meetings. Making that data available in real-time through mobile office applications can be a tremendous advantage in an executive’s decision-making process.
  • General Office Workforce. Believe it or not, anyone who works in the confines of a conference room or cubicle is also a candidate for mobile applications. Anyone who spends time servicing other employees and staff within a brick and mortar foundation can realize value from wireless local area networks.
