Establishing relationships with weak independent authorities may not be a priority for most firms.
Finally, firms must address the constituency that usually is of greatest concern to them, the competition. When facing strong competitors, acquisitions, if appropriate, or a general improvement of its own products and services from a cost and differentiation perspective may prove worthwhile. Weak competitors should continuously be monitored in terms of both their evolving power position in the Web and their product/service offering as it is received by the marketplace.
