These services have one characteristic in common: they would be much more useful if they were available to you at all times—not only when you are sitting in front of your PC. This is what tomorrow brings in the form of new mobile services. You will have acess to the telephone directory when you are walking down the street and want to call your client because you are late for an appointment. The same goes for driving instructions. Whereas today’s solutions force you to plan your day in advance, tomorrow’s mobile services will make information available when and where you need it.

That very concept, “getting information when and where we need it,” could be the slogan for the mobile world because it summarizes what will be delivered. This mobile functionality will be used in combination with services from the PC at home or at the office. It will also be exciting to see what new information services will be available when location awareness (knowing where we—our devices—are located at any given point in time) is combined with our information needs.
